McCain rebrands Oven Chips as Naked Oven Chips

Leading frozen potato brand McCain has rebranded its Oven Chips with a new product name and design targeting consumers looking for healthier frozen products.

The new pack highlights the product’s two simple ingredients, potatoes and sunflower oil, and its vegan and gluten free credentials. The chips are available in crinkle and straight cut types.

“This is an exciting rebrand for us as we’ve been able to take our Oven Chips and make them more modern and attractive to shoppers. The product taps into increasingly popular trends by offering a natural, ‘clean’ product which will drive further growth in the category,” said Mark Hodge, marketing director at McCain.

Naked Oven Chips are now available in major supermarkets and will be rolled out nationally in convenient and independent stores from mid-May with an RRP of £1.79 for the 900g bag and £2.79 for the 1.7kg.
