Müller adds two new products to Müller Light range

Müller adds two new products to Müller Light range

Müller Yogurt & Desserts has expanded its portfolio to include two new Müller Light Protein Pudding SKUs.

The business said the launch will complement the new and improved Müller Light recipe and rebrand which took place in June and its supporting £8m marketing campaign.

With the protein segment growing at four times the rate of the total category, Müller said it is continuing to transform the yogurts and potted desserts health category by expanding and optimising its portfolio of health and nutrition products to meet changing consumer needs.

The two new products, Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate Orange Protein Flavour Puddings, roll out on retailer shelves from 11 September, and have 14g of protein per pot. The puddings also benefit from added Vitamin B6 – 50% of the vitamin’s daily recommended intake – and are HFSS compliant.

With shopper needs and desires changing and shifting towards healthier and more nutritional offerings within the segment, Müller Light Protein Puddings are low fat and reduced calorie while still made with real milk chocolate to satisfy sweet cravings.

“This is a new and exciting step for Müller Light, which has already seen a successful rebrand and new recipe formulation earlier this year,” Vicky Morgan, category lead – health at Müller Yogurt & Desserts, said.

“With more and more consumers looking for a positive and uplifting product which also tastes great, we’re excited to expand the range with Müller Light Protein Pudding, giving shoppers an easy choice which helps keep positive intentions on track.”

The dairy company carried out research and product testing which showed that Müller Light Protein Pudding has a 45 per cent higher purchase intent for shoppers than other protein puddings in the segment, highlighting the consumer desire for lighter and healthier choices which also provide added benefits.

“Our research has shown that Müller Light Protein Pudding is already a hit with consumers, and we’re confident this portfolio expansion will drive growth within the category for retailers, bring new shoppers to the segment, and help us achieve our goal of putting a smile on the nation’s face,” Morgan added.

Müller Light Protein Pudding is available in single 140g pots, with an RRP of £1.40. The launch follows from last week’s announcement of a partnership between Müller and Myprotein, featuring a range of yogurts and puddings.
