New Jisp partnership offers retailers last-mile delivery option

New Jisp partnership offers retailers last-mile delivery option

Shopping app Jisp has announced a partnership with Zoom 1hr Delivery to provide retailers with a fleet of drivers in the last-mile fulfilment initiative.

Jisp said their retailer partners will now be able to have their products delivered straight to customers without having to leave the shop, hire new drivers or purchase vehicles.

“I am really thrilled about this announcement. Last-mile delivery has always been the missing link in our proposition as many retailers either didn’t have enough staff, time or vehicles to truly benefit from providing Jisp’s Home Delivery service,” said Ilann Hepworth, Jisp managing director.

Zoom 1hr Delivery, that has a driver fleet of more than 300 nationwide, has been operating primarily inWest Midlands and Wales. However, following Jisp’s partnerships with Bestway and Nisa as well as Zoom’s expansion with Co-op, both companies are in talks to extend their reach.

“With Zoom’s impressive fleet of cars and driver portfolio we are looking to rapidly grow store numbers whilst continuing building our reputations as retailer-first convenience service on the market,” Hepworth added.

Zoom 1hr Delivery serves more than 440 retailers and is set to bring in 300 Co-op stores by the end of September. Since going live they have processed over 280,000 orders through the platform.

Kevin Williams, chief executive of Zoom 1hr Delivery, said: “We are excited to embark on a brand-new partnership with Jisp. Jisp shares our vision of empowering independent businesses with a dynamic delivery solution. By marrying their slick technology with our operations and infrastructure across the UK, we will be able to better serve retail and food businesses, and vastly improve our own customers’ experience. We believe this new collaboration will be an unstoppable force in the delivery sector.”
