New London Light launches ‘Midnight Sun’ and ‘Aegean Sky’

New London Light launches ‘Midnight Sun’ and ‘Aegean Sky’

New London Light, a bold collection of contemporary non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs, is launching two new expressions: ‘Midnight Sun’ and ‘Aegean Sky’ crafted by Salcombe Distilling Co.’s expert distillers to challenge the process and bring innovative flavour combinations into a new era of taste without alcohol.

‘Midnight Sun’ and ‘Aegean Sky’ have been inspired by coastal locations around the globe and through their exploration of flavour combinations from each region, combined with the innovative use of kombucha as a stabilizer and a pioneering approach to the production process, these two new all-natural expressions are designed to transport the drinker to another place and a new world of flavour without alcohol or added sugar.

A selection of hand-sourced botanicals, often foraged for locally, are steeped in neutral grain spirit and water which macerates for 48 hours at about 40 per cent ABV. The use of alcohol to extract and carry flavour is an important part of the process. Next, using a combination of craft and innovation, the ‘botanical steep’ is distilled in SDCo.'s rotary vacuum still; a process that removes the alcohol without removing the flavour. This creates a highly concentrated core flavour distillate, which acts as the backbone of each non-alcoholic aperitif. This core distillate is then carefully blended with a selection of natural botanical extracts and distillates and stabilized with the unusual use of kombucha, to create unexpected and delicious flavour combinations.

New London Light ‘Midnight Sun’ takes inspiration from the rugged Nordic coastline and is a layered and elegant non-alcoholic aperitif combining wild coastal berries, fresh kelp and pine from the majestic landscapes of the Nordic region. ‘

Inspired by adventures in pursuit of golden horizons, ‘Aegean Sky’ captures the essence of the vibrant Mediterranean coast. Every sip of this creative combination of sun-soaked bitter citrus and olive takes you on a journey into a new world of flavour.

Both New London Light ‘Midnight Sun’ and ‘Aegean Sky’ complement health conscious and adventurous lifestyles without the need to abstain from delicious and sophisticated serves. For every 70cl bottle of New London Light sold in the UK, SDCo. donates 1 per cent of the retail price to the Marine Conservation Society’s seagrass regeneration project to protect and regenerate 1m2 of seagrass. Never restricted to just one occasion, New London Light can be enjoyed any time of day from dawn until dusk, never compromising on taste.

70cl New London Light ‘Aegean Sky’ and ‘Midnight Sun’ – available to order from Friday 5 November 2021, RRP: £27.50
