New Pastes and Tapenade Launch from Cypressa

Celebrating the sunshine flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East, Cypressa has launched an exciting range of Pastes and Tapenades, targeting retailers nationwide.

From pastes and tapenades, to mezze and pesto, Cypressa’s new six-product range is a convenient solution perfect for stews, meat dishes, salads and pasta, or as part of antipasti or sharing boards.


“We are very excited to be launching this new selection of pastes and tapenades, which really champions the sunshine flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East,” said Harry Constantinou, Commercial Controller at Cypressa and third-generation founding family member.

“The new pastes are a brilliant accompaniment to so many dishes and are incredibly versatile. So, whether you are putting together an antipasti board for an evening with family or friends, or creating an authentic Mediterranean dinner, we have you covered with olives, olive oil, antipasti and now, great-tasting dips and pastes many ingredients that my family and I have cooked with forever,” adds Harry.

There are six delicious and authentic products in the new range, with two, Cypressa Smoky Tagine and Cypressa Aubergine & Feta Mezze also available in the Co-op.

Cypressa Smoky Tagine

A traditional Moroccan inspired paste with a traditional blend of spices and herbs that gives an intense and smoky flavour, ideal for stews and roasts.

Cypressa Aubergine & Feta Mezze

A great addition to any antipasti board, this tasty blend of roasted aubergines and creamy Feta cheese has a deliciously rich taste and a smooth texture. Perfect as a dip, spread onto a ciabatta or served alongside salads.

Tomato, Feta & Kalamata Olive Tapenade

A Mediterranean-style tapenade made with a blend of rich, full-bodied kalamata, sun-dried tomato, capers and feta cheese, which is perfect for spreading on bread or pitta, or to stir into pasta sauces.

Roasted Red Pepper Tapenade

A rich tapenade made with a mix of red peppers and a fire-roasted paprika pepper for a deep flavour ideal for spreading on bread and crackers.

Rose Harissa Paste

A North African inspired red chilli paste that has a slightly sweet, smoky, tangy taste, with a hint of spice, made with red pepper and warm spices.

Rose Harissa Pesto

A smoother texture than the Rose Harissa paste, this pesto is better suited to pasta dishes or as a salad condiment, but with the same sweet and smoky taste.

Cypressa’s new range of pastes and tapenades is available at independent shops nationwide (RRP £2.50 - £3). Cypressa Smoky Tagine and Cypressa Aubergine & Feta Mezze are also available in Co-op stores now.
