Nestlé has appointed Nicolas Wahli as managing director for Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) UK & Ireland.

CPW is a partnership between Nestlé and General Mills and produces some of the world's leading breakfast cereals, including Shredded Wheat, Cheerios and Nesquik.

Besides leading the team, he will also oversee the production and delivery of new products to the market as well as prioritise important commitments to sustainability, such as the Nestlé Wheat Plan, in his new role.

Wahli is a Nestlé veteran of 20 years, 14 of those at CPW. In his first five years at CPW, he grew the Caribbean business and set up a solid organisation aligned with Nestlé structures.

Prior to his latest appointment he was managing director for CPUK Northern Europe, bringing together seven markets. He also delivered year-on-year sales growth in a highly competitive environment with demanding consumers.

CPUK is responsible for the full range of Nestlé Cereals in the UK & Ireland and Wahli joins the Nestlé UK & Ireland leadership team led by CEO Stefano Agostini.

“It's a great privilege to be leading CPUK. It's the biggest market for CPW globally and steeped in so much heritage,” Wahli said.

“Many of our cereals are grown and produced here and are enjoyed by millions of families every day. My focus is on being sustainable and committed to better food, better lives and a better planet. It has never been more important to our consumers.

“I'm excited to continue our journey of supporting families and making breakfast better for everyone through our great brands.”

Nicolas has a degree in hospitality and tourist management and lives in North London with his wife and two children.
