Nisa improved sales for retailers via delivery services in 2021

Nisa retailers who are partnered with key delivery service providers have seen strong growth over the past year with record sales reported in December.

Around 300 Nisa partners now offer a delivery service through one of the four agents teamed up with Nisa Retail with numbers increasing week-on-week.

For Deliveroo, the highest ever order volume for Nisa retailers was recorded in the final week of December 2021 with almost 5,200 orders placed. This was alongside an average of more than 100,000 sales every week from Nisa partners across the full year.

Meanwhile Snappy Shopper reported the best month ever in December 2021 with 13,234 orders placed with Nisa partners via the app - an increase of nearly 12 per cent compared with the previous month and 2.3 per cent better than the next best month, which had been July 2021.

Latest numbers for Uber Eats were also impressive with a growth of 88 per cent in sales when comparing 2020 with 2021.

And finally, Jisp have also seen an increase in orders of around 25 per cent over the year.

Nisa has partnerships with all four delivered service providers ensuring improved terms for retailers along with support with onboarding.

“It’s important that we provide Nisa partners with solutions that work for them," said James Taylor, Head of Central Operations at Nisa. "We have partnered with the four different businesses to ensure the varying needs of our partner base are met.”

As part of the plan to further support partners with their delivery services, Nisa’s field team have been upskilled to ensure they are equipped to advise and support partners when deciding what solution best works for individual retailer and store needs.

Regular meetings with each provider help identify ways to improve the service available to retailers ensuring they understand the requirements of Nisa’s independent retailers.

James added: “Many shoppers have now come to expect some sort of delivery service from their local stores, particularly in light of Covid, so we’re working closely with the range of providers and continue to see some fantastic successes for our partners across the whole of the UK.”
