Nisa retailers can apply for share of Kellogg’s £4,000 donation to support school breakfast clubs

Nisa retailers can apply for share of Kellogg’s £4,000 donation to support school breakfast clubs

Kellogg’s has made a £4,000 donation to Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity to support breakfast clubs in schools.

The partnership with Nisa is an extension of Kellogg’s 25 Years of Breakfast Clubs campaign.

The donation will be made available as eight different £500 donations and all entries can only be applied for by Nisa retailers.

Kellogg’s has been supporting school breakfast clubs in the UK since 1998, and the brand said the growth and success of these clubs is a testament to the benefits they bring including attendance, attainment, alleviating hunger and providing pre-school care.

Kellogg’s continues to play a huge role by providing cash grants to the UK’s most in need schools and support to over 3000 schools within its Breakfast Club Network, helping them to open their doors and feed children in the morning.

MADL allows independently run local stores to add value to their communities by nominating charities or good causes that are local to them to receive a specific donation from Nisa.

“We are extremely grateful to Kellogg’s for the donation to MADL and the impact it will have on supporting breakfast clubs in schools,” Kate Carroll, head of charity at Nisa, said.

“We always look to work together with our partners and suppliers to create funding opportunities in the community and this collaboration demonstrates how successful this work can be.”

Heather Murphy, ESG manager for Kellogg UK, said: “We’ve been supporting breakfast clubs in the UK for 25 years, so we understand the impact being hungry can have on children – from their ability to learn, to their mood. It’s great to be able to extend our support of breakfast clubs, by partnering with NISA’s Making a Difference Locally.’’
