Nisa to host first ever Virtual Expo for 2020

Nisa will host a virtual Expo for the first time this year that is set to include all the usual features with some additional interactivity.

The decision to host this year’s event via online is due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and to ensure a safe environment for all attendees to participate.

Nisa Expo has been held every year for more than two decades, providing an opportunity for suppliers and partners to interact.

It is also a chance for businesses growth, one to one supplier meetings, category insights, virtual store tours, special deals and learn more about the benefits of being part of the Nisa/Co-op group of companies.

Ken Towle, CEO of Nisa, said: “The events of 2020 have meant that the independent retail environment has been extremely challenging but the sector has really stepped up and through working closely with our supplier base we have been able to differentiate ourselves from the competition and gain market share.

“We felt that now more than ever it was important to work together with our suppliers, partners and Nisa head office teams to really showcase Nisa and the full range of Co-op own label products.

“We are really proud to create the first ever Nisa Virtual Expo that will include all the usual features of Stoneleigh along with some new elements that are only possible through a virtual platform.”

Nisa Expo will be hosted Stoneleigh, Warkwickshire, in October 2020.

Registration will open in the coming weeks, further details will be revealed in due course.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves' budget's impact will be felt unevenly across the UK’s 50,000 convenience stores, with some measures such as business rate relief and the increased employment allowance mitigating costs for smaller independent stores, while providing no help for chains and larger independent businesses.
