Nomad Foods, the company behind some of Europe’s iconic frozen food brands including Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s and Goodfella’s, has on Monday announced the appointment of Steven Libermann as group executive president.

As a member of the executive committee, Libermann will be responsible for driving profitable growth across all of Nomad Foods’ 22 markets and channels.

Libermann joined Nomad Foods as part of the acquisition of Findus in 2015, where he was chief executive of Findus Southern Europe. He has led Nomad Foods’ Southern Europe region (Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal) since July 2018. In January 2023 he took responsibility for the UK & Ireland business and global sales, before being appointed as executive president FBN (France, Belgium, Netherlands), Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal), UK & Ireland and global sales in July 2023.

Libermann’s earlier career included international marketing positions at Nestlé and BIC, plus time as managing director at Senoble and as a senior equity fund advisor.

“With us since the creation of Nomad Foods nine years ago, Steven has been central to helping us get to where we are today, as Europe’s leading frozen food company,” Stéfan Descheemaeker, Nomad Foods’ chief executive officer, said.

“Extending his role will enable us to focus on driving growth across all of our markets, continuing to build the frozen food category and cementing our relationships with our commercial partners, allowing us to reach even more families with our iconic brands and products.”
