Old Golden Hen offers hot prizes for summer

Old Golden Hen, a 4.1 per cent golden ale, is launching a competition for customers to win over a hundred pizza inspired prizes, including 20 Woody wood-fired pizza ovens to enjoy this summer.

Customers who purchase a promotional bottle of the golden ale in participating stockists will have the chance to win a Woody pizza oven. The portable pizza oven can create authentic pizzas in no time and is easy to use for the novice chef, making it a great option for summertime cooking in the garden.


There are also 100 pizza-making kits up for grabs in the competition, featuring authentic Italian ingredients, that will give winners everything they need to create the perfect home-made pizza. All entrants will also get a downloadable recipe card featuring a pizza created by Woody to perfectly pair with Old Golden Hen this summer.

Part of the Greene King and Old Speckled Hen portfolio, Old Golden Hen is a light and refreshing beer with the ideal level of bitterness that balances the sweet impact of the intense tropical fruit flavours. For the perfect food pairing, the golden ale’s flavours complement lighter summer dishes, especially pizza, chicken and bacon, and the competition gives customers the chance to make that perfect pairing in their own garden.
