Out of the blue comes Popcorn Kitchen’s latest sweet treat Incarnation

Out of the blue comes Popcorn Kitchen’s latest sweet treat Incarnation

Popcorn Kitchen returns to its comfort food and classic cakes heartland with the arrival of its latest fruity-themed sweet treat, Blueberry Muffin popcorn, the iconic, on-the-go breakfast meets "al-desko" treat, that is so popular over the pond that it even has its own National Day (July 11 is National Blueberry Muffin Day).

The squidgy, moreish nature of muffins coupled with its any time-of-day appeal has seen it effortlessly usurp both doughnuts and cinnamon buns in the affections of sweet-toothed Americans, with blueberry consistently voted the NO.1 flavour, streets ahead of Banana Walnut, Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate.

According to Popcorn Kitchen owner, Louise Webb, "The timeless popularity of Lemon Drizzle coupled with the seismic interest in our recent Cherry Bakewell offering convinced us that another Summer Fruit special was a Summer launch must. Flavour trials during exhibition season have quite simply been off the charts, convincing us that our latest indulgent treat taps effortlessly into Popcorn Kitchen’s stewardship of replicating timeless sweet treats in a popcorn style."

Historically, Popcorn Kitchen has prioritised sweet treat heroes (Lemon Drizzle Cake Eton Mess, After Dinner Mints …) that appeal to an older "sweet-toothed" audience, however Blueberry Muffin like Chocolate Brownie before it, reinforces the growing appetite for best-in-classic popcorn to mimic sweet treats that appeal to snacking enthusiasts of all-ages

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

As December rapidly approaches, Pernod Ricard UK is ramping up its festive marketing efforts, anticipating a resurgence in consumer confidence after a challenging year. The UK’s second-largest wine and spirits supplier is set to inspire consumers to choose Premium+ Spirits as the perfect gift or the ultimate addition to any home celebration. Throughout 2024, Premium+ Spirits have consistently outperformed Standard offerings, making this higher end of the sector a vital margin driver.

“Since last Christmas, consumer confidence has been on the rise and the outlook for the final month of 2024 is positive," said Chris Shead, Off-Trade Channel Director for Pernod Ricard UK. "Gifting and hosting remain two key trends and retailers should focus on increasing space in-store for Premium Spirits that act as the perfect gift or cocktail ingredient when wanting to show off in front of friends and family. Where possible, we encourage retailers to prioritise categories that have been capturing the hearts of consumers and this year, our big winners have been Altos Tequila, Kahlúa and Bumbu Rum, and we expect our Champagnes, G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouët, to be the toast of choice for festive parties this year.”
