Pastorfrigor GB sponsors World Refrigeration Day

Essex-based refrigerator company Pastorfrigor GB is celebrating World Refrigerator Day by sponsoring the annual event along with other major suppliers.

Held every June 26th, the event highlights what refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump sector do throughout the world.

The international awareness campaign aims to raise the profile this industry, while focusing attention on the significant role that the technology plays in modern life today.

Pastorfrigor GB, Managing Director, Simon Robinson said: “World Refrigeration Day is a not for profit organisation with all profits going back into supporting the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump industry.

“In only its second year, last year was a huge success with a great amount of online activity, over 800 physical events taking place in over 153 countries.

“During the pandemic, it is really important to raise awareness and understanding of the significant role that the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry, and the associated science and technology, play in modern life and society in a safe and responsible manner that is fully compliant with local regulations and aligned to all safety measures.”

Earlier this month, Pastorfrigor UK launched its new generation integral Genova Overview range of plug-in refrigeration, using the natural refrigerant R290 (propane).

The glass door cabinets feature new evaporators, fans and controls, delivering a claimed 25% energy saving over the older Genova model. Sound levels are estimated as 54dBA.
