Pez Candy unveils Despicable Me 4 and Princess Tiana dispensers

Leading confectionery distributor World of Sweets has added two additions to its range of collectible Pez dispensers: Despicable Me 4 and Princess Tiana dispensers

The sweetie experts say Disney Princess Pez have been a top seller for many retailers, and the Princess Tiana dispenser into the character mix is expected to be very popular.

The release comes ahead of a Tiana series coming to Disney+ in early 2025. The beloved character is sure to demand attention from younger customers and Disney lovers.

Also new to the range is the Despicable Me dispensers, ahead of the release of the fourth Despicable Me film on 12 July.

The film launch presents an opportunity for retailers to maximise sales with younger customers and lovers of the Despicable Me franchise. Each pack comes with one dispenser and one pack of Pez candy refill sweets, with an RRP of £1.75.

Pez is a popular and recognisable brand worldwide, with a retail sales value in the UK of £8m and 6 million Pez dispensers sold each year in the UK.

Top selling Pez lines include Paw Patrol, Marvel, Disney Princess, Spiderman and Super Mario.

The new range of Despicable Me 4 Dispensers are exclusively available through Bobby’s, the sister company of World of Sweets, and will be available for a limited time only.

The Disney Princess Pez dispensers are available in pack formats 1+2, containing 1 dispenser and 2 x Candy Refills, RRP £2.00. They are available through the World of Sweets Field Sales team, Hancocks stores and website.

Retailers and independence stores are being encouraged to stock up on the film-themed confectionery products to increase footfall in stories.

World of Sweets also offers multiple merchandising solutions to help the products stand out in store.

The new Slimline Free Standing Display Stand is designed specifically for Pez in the convenience and forecourts channel, as a solution which takes up minimal floor space for the retailer.

World of Sweets also offers small and large circular stands with Pez branding, shelf fixtures and counter display stands to draw in customer attention.

“We are really excited to launch the Pez Despicable Me 4 range, exclusively available through Bobby’s,” Chris Smith, partner brand manager, said.

“The films have amassed a huge following and are much loved by both children and adults. By stocking the recogniseable and attractive products in store, retailers can maximise sales.

“Being up to date on trends, launches and cultural events helps to encourage repeat customers into stores. We expect the Despicable Me Pez range to be especially popular once people have watched the new film, after the 12th July release.

“Make sure you can cater to the demand and catch attention in stores by stocking up as soon as possible. Consider merchandising alongside other top selling Pez ranges such as Disney Princess, Marvel and Paw Patrol.

“Displaying the dispensers near pay points and using clear and appealing POS will make the products stand out and maximise sales.”
