Pimm's celebrates King’s Coronation with limited-edition bottle

Pimm's celebrates King’s Coronation with limited-edition bottle

Quintessential British tipple Pimm's is introducing a limited-edition design of its iconic Pimm's No.1 bottle to celebrate The Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort. The Coronation Edition bottle will be rolled out across the off-trade from April and will temporarily replace the standard Pimm's No.1 label design in 70cl and 1L whilst stocks last.

With total value sales of £78m across the trade, Pimm's is the perfect drink for shoppers to enjoy and share as they come together with their friends, families and communities over the long Coronation Weekend.

While remaining true to the iconic design that Pimm's No.1 is known for, the limited-edition label aims to inspire the spirit of celebration for this historic occasion through a crown-shaped illustration that features Buckingham Palace at its heart, decked with purple and gold bunting and a banner proclaiming the Coronation Edition for 2023.

“Pimm's has a long association with British summertime and events. With The Coronation taking place in May, as well as events such as Wimbledon and Royal Ascot, Pimm's is the perfect accompaniment to these moments," said Charlotte Gibbon, Category Marketing Director, Gins, Pimm’s, Bailey’s & Non-Alcoholic, Diageo GB. "The Coronation-inspired illustration is an exciting addition to the much-loved PIMM’S No.1 Cup and we hope people make the most of these occasions and enjoy a glass of PIMM’S during the get-togethers with friends and families.”

Pimms Lemonade RTD Can Lifestyle

Pimm's No.1 is also available to purchase in a 250ml RTD premix format mixed with lemonade (5.4 per cent ABV), available in single cans and 10 packs.

Swizzels limited-edition Valentine’s Day treat

Sweet maker Swizzels has unveiled a brand-new limited-edition product in time for Valentine’s Day, combining two of its most-loved brands into one treat: Squashies Love Hearts.

Offering a fresh twist on two popular classics, the new Squashies Love Hearts combine Squashies’ signature soft texture with the iconic and timeless messages of Love Hearts.

Squashies remain the No. 1 sugar confectionery brand in the market, while Love Hearts see consistent growth, with 950,000 units sold during the Valentine’s period and a 10 per cent year-on-year growth in brand value. Building on this success, Swizzels has combined the two household names to create a fast-moving and profitable addition to any retailer’s offering.

Available in 120g bags and sold in cases of 12, each foam sweet is embossed with a fun message or emoji, making them ideal for sharing with a loved one. Messages include "KISS", "WOW", "FAB", and "LOVE", alongside two cheerful and romantic emojis, adding a playful touch.

With an MRSP of £1.15, the new product retains the classic colours and flavours of traditional Love Hearts, including Pineapple, Lime, Blackcurrant, Lemon, Cherry, and Orange.

Swizzels’ Love Hearts range remains a Valentine’s Day favourite, led by the popular 39g Giant Love Hearts rolls, which outsell any other Valentine’s SKU with 621,000 units sold during the season.

Other fan-favourites from the range include Love Hearts Originals Hanging Bags, the 15g mini Love Hearts rolls and Giant Love Hearts multipacks.

“We’re excited to introduce a delicious and innovative new product that combines two of our most popular brands, delivering the same moreish flavours and signature texture - with an added twist," said trade marketing manager Clare Newton.
