Prophecy adds three new wines to its portfolio

Prophecy adds three new wines to its portfolio

Following the launch of its Rosé in 2020, best-selling US wine brand Prophecy is introducing three more wines to its UK portfolio. Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon, Prophecy Malbec

and Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc will be available from wholesalers nationwide this month.

Made with grapes from some of the world’s best vineyards, each Prophecy wine showcases the varietal’s defining characteristics with the undeniable quality of the wines reflected by recent award wins: Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 won the Gold medal at Mundus Vini, while both Prophecy Malbec 2019and Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc 2020 were awarded Bronze medalsat the IWC.

Rich and aromatic, Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon, from South Eastern Australia, offers layers of blackberry and cherry, with hints of spicy toasted oak adding complexity

before leading to a long, soft finish. Prophecy Malbec from Argentina’s renowned Mendoza region is smooth and approachable, revealing layers of dark fruit complemented

with hints of vanilla. Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc, from Chile, opens with aromas of white peach and grapefruit leading to notes of crisp apple with a bright, citrus finish.

To mirror the beauty of the wine inside, each bottle features the eye-catching and intricate artwork that has become synonymous with the brand State-side. Created by award-winning artist Victo Ngai and inspired by the designs of traditional tarot cards, each label tells a unique layered tale, that reflects the exquisite taste, character and complexity of the wine.

The Cabernet Sauvignon label features The Emperor, holding court from a throne of mountains; his crimson robes stand for passion and represent the expressive dark fruit notes found in the wine while the Malbec label depicts The Magician. The mountains in the foreground and background, are a nod to the Mendoza region in Argentina, and the dark fruits behind him highlight the taste profile of the wine.

The Sauvignon Blanc label features The High Priestess with her green robes, representing the crisp, refreshing taste that is emblematic of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.

“Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc have all experienced significant growth in the UK over the past 12 months and have firmly established themselves as UK consumers’ preferred wine styles”, says Olga Senkina, Marketing Director EMEA at E& J Gallo Winery.

“Beautiful inside and out, Prophecy wines not only offer an exceptional representation of each style but their exquisite, intricately designed labels create a real stand-out on shelf, drawing consumers to try wines they already know and love, but from a new brand.”

Prophecy Cabernet Sauvignon, Prophecy Malbec and Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc are available from wholesalers nationwide, RRP £9.
