Reyka Vodka organises ‘self –iso’ half marathon to raise money for charity

Reyka Vodka, a William Grant & Sons brand, is set to hold a nationwide ‘self –iso’ half marathon to raise money for The Drinks Trust, the trade charity for drinks industry professionals.

The initiative is part of William Grant & Sons #Standfast Campaign.

More than 100 bartenders will run a 13.1 mile ‘Hospo-Half’ independently on 17 May, following all recommended social distancing and exercising guidelines.

William Grant & Sons will double-match the funds raised, up to £5,000. Pop up bar provider D&D Drinks is also donating 10 percent of all sales for the next two weeks. Runners will receive a ‘Huffin n Puffin’ running t-shirt.

The campaign has already raised over £15,000, thrice the original target, at the Just Giving page.

“I’m bowled over by the amount of signups we’ve had! From keen runner beans to complete newbies, we have stacks of people willing to give this challenge a go for an immense cause,” said Fabiano Latham, the brand’s ambassador.

“Our Just Giving page has already been shared in places like Australia and the US, with some extremely generous donations coming from friends and family members of the runners involved. I foresee a very emotional virtual finish line for all of us and I can’t wait.”

Anyone who would like to support can donate, run, or share the Just Giving page.
