Snack on-the-go with Eatlean’s new Skyr Pouches

Snack on-the-go with Eatlean’s new Skyr Pouches

Eatlean is releasing new high-protein Skyr pouches in two delicious flavours. As the latest addition to the brand’s dairy range, Eatlean’s 100 per cent natural Skyr is fat free and made with real organic fruit.

Available to buy in sweet Mango, Peach and Passionfruit and a Strawberry and Raspberry, the tasty snacks are high in protein, less than 100kcal per portion, and free of artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners.

Eatlean Skyr can be enjoyed from breakfast through to dinner as a pre- and post-workout snack or lunchtime addition. Packaged in a 150g resealable pouch, snackers can enjoy a serving of Skyr while on-the-go, or at home with added granola or fresh fruit.

Eatlean first launched in 2016 after award-winning family cheesemakers Joseph Heler Cheese saw the opportunity to bring a low-fat, high-protein cheese to the market. Since the success of its high-protein natural cheeses, Eatlean is expanding its dairy product offering, which now includes a range of cheese from Eatlean Cheese Block, Smoked, Tasty, Grill, Spreadable, Grated and Sliced, as well as ready-to-eat Nibbles and two delicious new flavours of Skyr.

Eatlean’s Skyr pouches are available at Eatlean.com from Monday 8th March at £1.25 each (150g) or a pack of eight pouches for £10.

The brand’s newest addition to the range, Nibbles, is also available online.

Packed with 100% natural high-protein cheese sticks, a selection of seeds, pulps, beans and a tasty dipping sauce, Eatlean Nibbles come in three flavours: Sweet Chilli, BBQ and Spicy.

Available to buy at £2.50 a single pack or £7.00 for all three-flavours.

Lactalis cheese market predictions for 2025 and beyond

Dairy, in particular cheese, is an everyday essential which offers consumers taste, nutrition, versatility, convenience, and good value. Despite this, the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, inflation and Brexit have unsurprisingly impacted how frequently consumers are buying cheese, but volume sales of branded cheese are now returning to growth at 1.9 per cent year on year (YOY) ahead of private label at 0.4 per cent. Branded cheese accounts for 40 per cent of total cheese value sales, with it being worth a total of £1.2 billion, growing 6.6 per cent in value sales YOY, while private label accounts for 60 per cent and is worth £1.8 billion, growing four per cent YOY.

Heloise Le Norcy-Trott, Group Marketing Director for Lactalis UK & Ireland explains: “After two years of contracted volume sales the cheese category has an opportunity to regain momentum. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, these are the cheese trends we think retailers should be aware of.”
