SPAR goes yellow to support Marie Curie 75th celebrations

Marie Curie, the SPAR national charity partner, is celebrating its 75th birthday and in acknowledgment, SPAR alongside seven leading FMCG grocery brands have pledged to donate £35,000 in total to a new campaign, called Go Yellow, in support of Marie Curie’s special birthday anniversary.

Seven leading FMCG grocery brands have pledged to donate a total of £35,000 as part of a new campaign, called Go Yellow, in support of Marie Curie’s special birthday anniversary.


Kellogg’s, Britvic, Pladis, Nestle, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Pepsico, and SPAR own label, will take part in the charity campaign which will be supported instore in participating SPAR stores in England, Scotland and Wales with barkers, signs and a poster.

Some of the products in the campaign include SPAR / Montgomery Water SPAR Silverbrook Falls Natural Mineral Water Still 2L, SPAR / Montgomery Water SPAR Silverbrook Falls Natural Mineral Water Sparkling 2L, Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Breakfast Cereal 500g, Britvic Lipton Ice Tea Peach 500ml, Pladis McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestive Biscuits 200g, Nestle Gold Blend Coffee 200g, Coca Cola Zero 500ml and Pepsico Popworks Sweet & Salty Sharing Popped Crisps 85g.

The campaign will also have digital support on TikTok and on social media with a competition.

Since 1948 Marie Curie has helped millions of people affected by terminal illness, bereavement and grief. This anniversary is an opportunity to highlight how today their support is more needed than ever.

“We are grateful to our suppliers for taking part and to our shoppers, who by purchasing the contributing product, will be supporting our ‘Go Yellow’ campaign, with £35,000 pledged to Marie Curie. This campaign is part of continued commitment to support our communities and charity partnership.”

It also ensures we can look to the future and continue our work to fight for a society where everyone living with terminal illness gets the best possible end of life care. Thank you SPAR!”

Shoppers will be able to support the charity campaign in participating SPAR stores in England, Scotland and Wales from 20th of July until Aug 9.
