Starbucks unveils new ready-to-drink

Starbucks has expanded its Doubleshot range with new Intenso drinks which blend three coffee ingredients.

Billed as the brand’s most intense Doubleshot yet, the new ready-to-drink comes in two variants: Doubleshot Intenso Black and Doubleshot Intenso Dark with a splash of milk.

The product is made with 100% Fairtrade Colombian Arabica coffee, Starbucks Signature Espresso Roast and green coffee extract, perfect for those who want a powerful hit of coffee.

The distinctive red aluminium bottle is 100% recyclable and also resealable, meaning consumers can easily enjoy the drink on the go.

The new additions will help retailers tap into occasions underpinned by intense energy needs, Arla Foods, which holds the license to manufacture, distribute and market Starbucks RTD coffees, said.

“An important part of the soft drinks category, it is vital that ready to drink coffee continues to innovate. This will allow us to keep pace with current trends and the increasingly busy consumer lifestyle,” commented Michael Lomas, commercial marketing manager at Arla Foods.

Charlotta Oldham, senior marketing manager at Starbucks CPG EMEA, added: “With three coffee ingredients coming together in one chilled coffee drink, Doubleshot Intenso is perfect for those looking for an extra coffee boost in their day. We all have full on days where we need an extra kick to keep us going. Doubleshot Intenso has been specifically made with those moments in mind.”

The products are available now for the convenience channel with an RSP of £1.99.
