Staropramen launches new multipack format in convenience channel

Staropramen launches new multipack format in convenience channel

Molson Coors Beverage Company has announced the launching of new 6x330ml can packs of Staropramen in grocery and convenience stores across the UK and Ireland.

With multipack formats becoming more popular, the brewer said the new packs are ideally placed to help retailers drive sales this summer, as Staropramen is currently growing by 40 per cent in retail,

The packs have a matte can design and are encased in a recyclable cardboard sleeve meaning its packaging is completely plastic free.

Kevin Fawell, off-trade sales director at Molson Coors Beverage Company, said: “Staropramen is a firm favourite on shelves up and down the country, and its latest pack format will tap into the growing number of social occasions at home this summer. We’re seeing the demand for multipacks of cans growing ahead of single and smaller pack formats, so this will provide consumers with more choice in line with their changing preferences.

“Launching our new Staropramen cans with sustainable packaging is another milestone for us after having recently removed plastic rings and introduced a fully recyclable and sustainable cardboard sleeve for can multipacks across all of our major brands.”

The new cans are now available in major supermarkets and convenience stores, with plans for further roll-out later this year. The launch will be supported by social media activity and in-store activations.
