Strong Roots reveals made for air-frying Air Bites range

Veg-forward frozen food brand Strong Roots is launching a new product range into their line-up of healthy, plant-based foods. The innovative Air Bites have been designed specifically for the air fryer, allowing consumers to create crispy, veg-packed bites in minutes.

Rolling out nationwide from next week, the Air Bites are available in three delicious, veg-first flavours; Crispy Spinach & Carrot, Crispy Pea & Lemon and Crispy Veg (RSP. £2.95). The range is available to independents via Wholesalers including Direct Wholesale Foods, Stratford & CLF.

Ready in 10-12 minutes from frozen, these veg-forward snacks are fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, light as a feather but jam-packed with goodness. They are pitched as a perfect afternoon snack, quick lunch or as an easy party platter pleaser.

The Trio of Air Bites:

Crispy Spinach & Carrot – With a vibrant colour and delicious flavour, these Air Bites are 48 per cent spinach and come in a crispy carrot crumb, with 165 kcals per serving (four bites)

Crispy Pea & Lemon – Featuring sweet peas (58 per cent) and citrus lemon encased in a crispy carrot and beetroot crumb. 181 kcals per serving (four bites)

Crispy Veg – Filled with a delicious vegetable (34 per cent) and brown rice filling and coated in a crispy puffed quinoa crumb, with 188 kcals per serving (four bites)

Packaged in recyclable gusseted bags, the Air Bites range is easy to stock and merchandise, whilst the bright appealing packaging clearly sign-posts key product attributes of the range to the consumer including that they are certified vegan, low in saturated fat and have no artificial colours or flavours. As with all products in the Strong Roots range, the climate footprint is also proudly displayed on front of pack, showing all emissions generated from soil to shelf, ensuring the brand continues to be fully accountable as a business and to its consumers.

“At Strong Roots we create tasty, plant-based food for busy people and are thrilled to be further broadening our appeal with the launch of Air Bites," said VP for Marketing, Laura Smith. "With the air fryer revolution continuing at pace, along with the demand for healthy, plant-based options, we have worked hard to create delicious, veg-forward recipes that are optimised for the air fryer. We believe there is an exciting opportunity to reach new consumers, bring even more people into the frozen, meat-free category and widen usage occasions and we can’t wait to hear what our customers think.”

Cocktail lovers can rejoice this St. Patrick’s Day with the release of Kahlúa’s “Schneaky” Espresso Martini glass. Disguised to look like a pint of stout, the specially designed, hand-blown glass sneakily conceals an Espresso Martini inside a pint glass. The crafty solution was created following research revealing that cocktail lovers feel “St. Patrick’s Day pressure” to drink stout – even if they don’t savour its flavour.

According to the study, around two in three drinkers (64 per cent) have felt the need to order a "certain stout drink" to fit in and nearly half (42 per cent) fear they might be judged poorly for choosing a cocktail over a pint on St. Patrick’s Day. Enter the Schneaky Espresso Martini glass by Kahlúa – a saviour for many cocktail lovers on 16 and 17 March.
