Sugro UK marks 40th anniversary through in-depot activations

Sugro UK marks 40th anniversary through in-depot activations

Sugro UK, one of the UK’s leading buying and marketing groups for independent wholesalers, on Tuesday (1) announced a series of exciting in-depot activations at various member depots as part of its 40th anniversary
celebrations.

These activations took place at several key member depots, including Cyprofoods Ltd and TB Cash & Carry's Leeds and Bradfords Depots, in collaboration with numerous top suppliers such as Britvic Soft
Drinks, Mars Wrigley, KP Snacks and Mondelez International.

By executing these in-depot activations, Sugro aims to celebrate its legacy while providing enhanced value to its members and driving engagement at the point of sale.

As part of Sugro’s 40th-anniversary celebrations, the in-depot activations are designed to create a dynamic and engaging environment for wholesalers and retailers alike. The activations showcase new product lines, provide exclusive offers, and offer live demonstrations, all in partnership with some of the UK’s leading brands and suppliers.

Retailers visiting the depots can sample new products, receive training on best-sellers, and engage directly with suppliers to better understand product benefits and usage.

Leading suppliers ran exclusive promotions, offers, and discounts for Sugro members, helping to drive sales and increase footfall in depots.

Sugro UK is proudly owned by its 90 plus independent wholesale members, with a combined turnover of over £2.5 billion. The group was recently voted No.1 across all buying groups in the recent Advantage Group Survey for a second consecutive year.

Shruti Senapati, Sugro Business Development Manager commented, “It is exciting to see that members and suppliers have continued Sugro’s 40th celebrations with eye-catching in-depot activations to capture retailers’
attention, boost product awareness and drive promotional activities. In-depot activations are a great opportunity for driving sales for wholesalers and suppliers, and I am looking forward to seeing such synergies
in the future.”

Sital Patel Director at TB Cash & Carry said, “We are thrilled to be part of Sugro UK's 40th-anniversary celebrations. The in-depot activations offer a fantastic opportunity to engage with our customers in a more interactive way, while also showcasing some of the top products and promotions from leading suppliers.”

Mert Atim, Buying Manager at Cyprofoods Ltd added, “Hosting in-depot and digital activations at Cyprofoods has been a great opportunity to connect with our retailers, showcase exciting new products, and offer exclusive promotions, all while working closely with some of the top brands in the industry.

"These efforts, both in person and online, have reinforced the value that Sugro brings to independent wholesalers.”
