Sugro UK once again voted as top buying group

Sugro UK has been voted as number one buying group in the recent Advantage Report Survey UK after being benchmarked against all other participating buying groups with feedback being gathered across the extensive range of their supply partners.

The group has been ranked number one for two consecutive years. Sugro UK celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, with many of its current members having been part of the Sugro family since the establishment of the business.


The group has had 18 consecutive years of growth and continues to sustain their strong performance throughout 2024 with strong growth numbers delivered across key categories in the first half of the calendar year (+9 per cent year on year, January to June 2024 versus the same period in 2023).

Sugro has seen 26 new members joining the group during the past 15 months who have added over £950 million worth of incremental buying power, bringing the total group turnover to over £2.5bn.

Sugro UK Managing Director Emma Senior said, “We are very proud to be voted number one buying group for two consecutive years. It’s a very special recognition for the group, particularly this year, as we are celebrating our 40th anniversary.

"The recognition of being number one shows the unique partnerships we have with our suppliers and members, but also those working tirelessly at Head Office behind the scenes. Competition regulator clears Carlsberg’s acquisition of Britvic
