Tango unveils Ice Blast flavours in on-the-go format

Tango is set to excite shoppers up and down the country with the boldest drop of 2024: Tango Blast. The Tango Ice Blast flavours are launching in a limited-edition, ready-to-drink format and from 22 April the much-anticipated Tango Raspberry Blast and Tango Cherry Blast will be available exclusively to the convenience channel. Tango's latest launch will look to engage Gen Z shoppers with its bold flavours, striking colours and eye-catching packaging.

Tango already has a strong record of new product development, particularly with its rotational flavour series, Tango Editions, with both Berry Peachy and Paradise Punch achieving the number one fruit flavoured carbonate new product development in their year of launch. The Britvic brand is confident its latest edition, Tango Mango, will follow in the same footsteps. Alongside this, Tango’s impressive market value of over £98.5m RSV and continued double digit growth +16 per cent perfectly positions the brand to drive further excitement in the fruit flavoured carbonates category.

“We know this has been an anticipated launch, and we’re pleased to finally announce the exclusive launch to the convenience channel," said Ben Parker, Retail Commercial Director at Britvic. "As well as the delicious flavours, the eye-catching packaging and vibrant liquids will make Tango Blast unmissable on shelves and in chillers. So, we expect the launch to appeal to fans of the brand who have come to expect something bold and different from Tango, while attracting new shoppers too.”

“The demand for on-the-go soft drinks has increased, shown by the 57 per cent of people who had purchased soft drinks saying that it was the main reason they went to their local convenience store. In addition, 34 per cent of shoppers will go without or elsewhere if they’re not happy with the to-go drinks available. The category presents a huge opportunity in the channel, which is why we’re supporting it with the exclusive launch of the already popular Tango Ice Blast flavours in a ready-to-drink format.”

Free from artificial flavours or colours, Tango Blast is approved as vegan by The Vegetarian Society, making both flavours suitable for a wide range of consumers. Tango Raspberry Blast and Tango Cherry Blast will be available in a 500ml format only at an MRSP of £1.99, the flavours will also be available in packs of 12 (in wholesale only). Exclusive to convenience, the launch will be supported by a social media first activation, PR, and in-store point of sale items to make Tango Ice Blast unmissable in store.
