Tropicana announces new packaging design now 50% recyclable

Tropicana’s on-the-go range is set to relaunch this month with all new packaging that aims to enhance its on-shelf visibility with shoppers.

The new 250 and 300ml bottles designs will now be made of 50% recyclable plastic due to consumers increasing concerns of the environment.

As shoppers start to return to their ‘normal’ routines, the packaging update to Tropicana’s single serve bottles has come at the perfect time.

Caroline Wilding, marketing manager at Tropicana, said: “Our modernised bottle design has really resonated with shoppers throughout pre-launch testing and our research indicated a +49% increase in purchase intent (1).

“We know consumers want to make a positive difference through their consumption, and they’re increasingly seeking out those brands that are leading the way on causes they care about (2).”

The new bottles form part of PepsiCo’s journey to make all their packaging 100% recyclable, compostable or biodegradable by 2025.

Phasing in throughout August, Tropicana’s new design will hit shelves across grocery, impulse and wholesale channels in 250ml PMP and 300ml formats.
