Tullamore D.E.W. on Wednesday (15) announced the launch of its latest innovation- Tullamore D.E.W. Honey, made by combining multi-awarded triple blend whiskey and 100 per cent natural Bohemian honey to create a liqueur that’s warm, sweet, smooth and filled with Irish character.
Best served either neat or on the rocks, Tullamore D.E.W. Honey brings smooth flavour, making nights out with friends all the better, the company said.
To make Tullamore D.E.W. Honey, the firm has combined its world-renowned Tullamore D.E.W. Whiskey with natural Bohemian honey, sourced from the hives of Bohemia, with one of the highest densities of small and independent beekeepers in the world.
Tullamore D.E.W. Whiskey is Triple Distilled for smoothness and is a blend of 3 styles of whiskey; Pot Still, Malt & Grain to give it character. It is then matured in three different casks for depth and balance before being combined with 100 per cent natural Bohemian honey. No other Honey Liqueur is made this way which gives Tullamore D.E.W. Honey a smoothness and character that is unrivalled, the company said.
The taste is of silky textured Honey with vanilla undertones and natural sweet notes interlaced with gentle spices which combine to give a finish of sweet warmth.
