Two new flavoured organic risottos from Biona

Biona, the number one organic food supplier to leading UK retailers, is pleased to introduce two new organic quick cook flavoured risottos, which are available to retailers from November onwards.

The new organic porcini mushroom risotto has an RRP of £3.99, while the organic pumpkin risotto has an RRP of £3.69 and are both a perfect choice for those consumers looking for healthy and authentic Italian flavours which are quick to prepare. Made with quality organic ingredients, these flavoured risottos are rich, savoury and moreish, with the creamy texture of the rice perfectly complementing the autumnal mushroom or pumpkin flavours. But best of all, both risottos are ready to eat in just fifteen minutes and so are perfectly aligned with consumers’ desire for convenience. Finally, not only are both risottos organic, but they are also both vegan and a great source of fibre too.

Recent data from Nielsen has once again confirmed the positive growth trajectory for organic food sales, which are now outperforming non-organic as cost-of-living concerns ease, with growth in the last year of 6.4 per cent versus 5.4 per cent. The data also showed that nearly 60 per cent of shoppers are now regularly buying organic products, while 70 per cent of shoppers confirmed they are willing to pay more for more sustainable grocery products.

“We’re delighted to bring this new range to market as we know consumers are increasingly looking for organic foods that offer shorter cook times without compromising quality or healthfulness," said Carmen Ferguson, Brand Manager at parent company Windmill Organics. "With 90 per cent of shoppers incorporating ready-to-cook meals into their diets and organic food sales flying at the moment, we’d encourage retailers to get onboard and stock these two delicious risottos which should both prove popular with health-conscious consumers.”
