VK, the classic party drink and most popular student pre-mixed cocktail for ten years running, has introduced their most iconic Christmas flavour to date – a vodka flavoured take on a classic stocking filler.

The iconic drink, popular for its variety of flavours including the staples VK Blue, VK Watermelon, and VK Orange & Passion Fruit, is gearing up for Christmas with the release of VK Chocolate Orange.

VK Chocolate Orange has a smooth chocolate flavour with notes of distinct zesty orange on top of a crisp vodka base.

The festive flavour is available in Mixed Packs from Nisa and Booker, and single bottles can be stocked from select cash and carries and each festive Mixed Pack contains a code with a chance of winning a limited edition VK Christmas jumper. There are 100 winning leaflets placed randomly in the festive Mixed Packs – and all that winners have to do is send their code to @VKdrink on Instagram to claim their jumper.

The festive VK Mixed Pack contains a variety of 10 x 275ml 3.4 per cent bottles. Alongside VK Chocolate Orange, are a selection of VK party favourites – Blue, Strawberry & Lime, Orange & Passion Fruit, Tropical Fruits, Apple & Mango, Watermelon, Black Cherry, and Raspberry & Peach.

70cl bottles are available from select cash and carries. 275ml bottles are also available to the on-trade.

Alongside the VK Chocolate Orange, the brand is running a campaign creating a National Christmas Day for students, the 25th of November. In the lead-up to the event, a digital campaign will see twelve days of giveaways with over £3,000 of prizes to engage VK fans and let them create their ultimate VK Christmas Day. Reaching tens of thousands of students, VK will be at the centre of celebrations in the festive period. The campaign follows data highlighting that the number one reason 18-24s drink is to connect and socialise with each other.

A targeted influencer strategy reaching four million views will send fans wild for the new flavour and jumper whilst VK are also working with The Tab, a key press outlet for Gen-Z consumers, to launch a collaborative competition for fans to win the ultimate VK Christmas Day for the 25th November.

To further support the campaign, and following the success of last year’s pop-up event at Loughborough Student Union, VK will also hold VK Christmas pop ups at multiple universities culminating in the ultimate VK Christmas Day on the 25th November.

“At VK we’re all about celebrations, bringing people together, and associating the brand with socialising and having a great time," saidsaid Daniella Mulvey, Brand Manager at Global Brands Ltd.

“We’re thrilled to continually drive engagement with fans and students through our Christmas activations and this VK twist on a classic stocking filler, and look forward to building on our position as the number one trad RTD choice for students as we head into 2024.

"Every VK limited edition festive flavour has sold out ahead of the big date - so VK fans need to be quick off the mark to get their hands on this limited edition flavour!”
