US candy sensation Pickle Roulette launches in UK

Leading confectionery distributor World of Sweets has announced the launch of a new product range from US candy brand Sour Punch.

World of Sweets will be introducing Sour Punch Pickle Roulette Straws and Sour Punch Pickle Roulette Bites to convenience and independent retailers across the country.


Each pack of Sour Punch Pickle Roulette Straws contains lemon and lime, green apple and watermelon flavoured straws.

The fourth flavour is pickle, hidden in each pack to take unsuspecting customers by surprise.

These have been a huge hit in the US, having sold out online within two days of launch with 1,600 orders for the product during the 48 hours.

Sour Punch also saw an increase of over 1,500 per cent to its website traffic with social media posts gaining significant traction.

“The new addition of Sour Punch Pickle Roulette is exciting for us and for the independent and convenience retailers who can stock this fun product,” Chris Smith, partner brand manager for World of Sweets, said.

“When it launched in the US the consumer feedback to Pickle Roulette was incredible, as was the volume of retailers looking to stock the product.

“We’re expecting a similar reaction when the Sour Punch Pickle Roulette range launches in the UK. It’s a fun product - with an element of risk - and will certainly create some hairy moments when enjoying with friends.”

The existing Sour Punch range including Sour Punch Mini Bites and Sour Punch Rad Reds plus these new additions are all available to purchase from World of Sweets retailer app and website and also at Hancocks.

The confectionery experts at World of Sweets are the home of UK compliant American candy and have seen the demand for a taste from the states soar over recent years.
