Walkers and Bestway's new Christmas promotion to give back to retailers

Walkers and Bestway's new Christmas promotion to give back to retailers

Following the launch of its 2023 limited-edition Christmas flavours across the Walkers and Sensations brands, Walkers has partnered with Bestway to introduce a new festive promotion. The promotion will see three retailers win £500, alongside a £1,000 donation each to a registered UK charity of their choice, highlighting Walkers and Bestway’s ongoing commitment to supporting retailers and the causes that matter to them.

Mike Chapman, Head of Wholesale at PepsiCo, said, “The festive period is a time for giving back, and this promotion is just one way we are thanking retailers for the hard work they do all year-round. The charity donation also means that our winners can pay this gesture forward, allowing them to support the meaningful causes close to their hearts as key pillars in their communities. As a long-term strategic partner of ours, with a shared vision of supporting retailers, we are pleased to be working with Bestway on this initiative to give back to retailers during one of the busiest times of the year.”

Chapman continues, “December is the biggest snacking moment of year, with the Savoury Snacks Category dominated by Sharing formats as consumers come together to connect and socialise. We also know that PMPs account for 68 per cent of total savoury snacking growth, so we’ve made sure the promotion focuses on sharing and PMP formats across our already popular festive range to allow retailers to maximise the opportunity and drive sales in store this holiday season.”

The promotion is live now until the Jan 4 2024. To enter, retailers must simply purchase any two qualifying cases* of Walkers Pigs in Blankets £1.25 RRP PMP, Walkers Festive Turkey £1.25 RRP PMP, Walkers Sensations Beef Wellington 150g or Walkers Sensations King Prawn & Marie Rose 150g in store or online at Bestway, and text for their chance to win.

Kenton Burchell, group trading director at Bestway, commented: “This promotion is an exciting opportunity for our customers to not only have the opportunity to win a much needed cash boost this Christmas but also allows them to give back to their community. We’re thrilled to partner with Walkers on this initiative – we know how popular their products are and expect the new limited-edition flavours to fly off shelves, helping to boost sales.”

This latest promotion is one of the many initiatives that Walkers and Bestway have continued to roll out in support of the retail sector, and follows on from the recent Win A Van promotion and Walkers’ Guide to Getting Ready for HFSS, which launched last year.
