Wall’s Pastry launches two new quiches

Wall’s Pastry launches two new quiches

Leading sausage roll brand Wall’s has announced the launch of two new quiches in two recipes, Cheese & Bacon and Cheese & Onion, as it looks to bring its big brand presence to the fresh quiche category.

Following the brand’s explosive growth in its core categories over the past two years, Wall’s is now on a mission to attract new shoppers to the quiche category.

While already a popular product within Chilled Savoury Pastry, quiche is dominated by own label products in larger family size formats. Using its pastry expertise and resonance with quiche consumers, Wall’s has developed an individual 170g quiche to cater for single serve occasions and inject growth into the category.

Both quiches are perfectly seasoned and made with extra mature Cheddar cheese, single cream, and Dijon mustard, encased in a delectable shortcrust pastry. The Cheese & Bacon Quiche is packed with beechwood smoked British bacon and the veggie-friendly Cheese & Onion Quiche is filled with fresh onion and Red Leicester cheese, perfect for consumers looking for an easy snack or a meal centre to serve alongside salads, soups or crispy potatoes.

“As the nation’s favourite sausage roll brand, we are always looking at how we can use our expertise in pastry and trusted status to deliver exceptional food that adds value in the areas that need it most,” Jason Manley, brand director at Wall’s Pastry, which is part of The Compleat Food Group, said

“When we found that there was a demand for smaller quiche sizes, as well as a lack of any strong brand dominance within this space, we knew we had an opportunity to add something fresh to the category. Our delicious new quiches will give shoppers the confidence that what they’re picking up not only tastes great, but also won’t go to waste.”

Wall’s Cheese & Bacon Quiche (170g, £2.00 RRP) and Wall’s Cheese & Onion Quiche (170g, £2.00 RRP) are available now across convenience.

The quiche launch follows Wall’s entry into the food-to-go category earlier this year, with its Large Sausage Roll and Scotch Egg launching as snack options in Tesco’s meal deal. It’s part of the brand’s plans to introduce new formats and cater for more occasions in 2024, as it looks to offer even more delicious options for its customers.

“This is just the start of an exciting year for Wall’s, with more launches in the pipeline that will satisfy more occasions and offer people even more ways to enjoy traditional pastry classics in a format that suits them,” Manley added.
