Water Almighty launches eco-functional waters in aluminium bottles

Water Almighty launches eco-functional waters in aluminium bottles

Eco-functional drinks brand Water Almighty proudly announces the launch of two innovative aluminium-bottled waters – Mighty Pure and Mighty Minerals. Available from October 2024, these new offerings spearhead the brand's mission to revolutionise the bottled water landscape with sustainable, functional hydration solutions. Both varieties will retail at £2 per 500ml bottle.

Water Almighty aims to lead the shift away from plastic in the water category, offering health-conscious and eco-driven consumers alike a compelling alternative to traditional plastic water bottles. The drinks come in infinitely recyclable, resealable 500ml aluminium bottles designed for repeated use. With 80 per cent of all aluminium ever produced still in the material loop today, compared to a mere 16 per cent recycling rate for plastic, Water Almighty's packaging choice works to significantly reduces environmental impact and challenge the traditional water fixture, which currently comprises 70% of it’s SKUs being bottled in plastic.

The new range includes:

Mighty Pure: Triple-purified water with a balanced pH of 7.5, free from microplastics and enhanced with essential electrolytes for a crisp, refreshing taste.

Mighty Minerals: Enhanced with seven essential minerals and electrolytes, providing 20% of the daily recommended intake per bottle. This functional water supports active lifestyles and overall wellness.

"Water Almighty is not just about providing great-tasting, functional water," said Melvin Jay, founder of Water Almighty,. "We're on a mission to make sustainable drinks the norm by providing the industry and shoppers with easy swaps that are compromise-free. Our aluminium bottles offer a real solution to the plastic crisis, being endlessly recyclable and reusable. We're proving that consumers and retailers don't have to choose between health, convenience, and environmental responsibility—they can have it all in one mighty package."

Water Almighty's production process matches its eco-friendly packaging. The brand is part of a broader group that includes The Sustainable Bottling Co., a pioneering UK-based bottler dedicated to accelerating the adoption of infinitely recyclable aluminium packaging across the soft drinks industry. The Sustainable Bottling Co. operates a state-of-the-art, carbon-neutral facility powered entirely by renewable energy. This facility not only bottles Water Almighty products but also offers its sustainable aluminium bottling solutions to other beverage brands, driving industry-wide change.

The partnership ensures that Water Almighty's entire production process, from bottling to distribution, maintains the highest standards of sustainability. The factory offsets 100% of the carbon produced, resulting in a carbon-neutral footprint. This holistic approach to sustainability combines eco-friendly packaging with green production methods.

For retailers, Water Almighty provides a mass-market, functional water solution that's easy to adopt, stands out on shelf, and appeals to a broad audience of eco-aware, health-focused customers. The brand's commitment to screw-top lids caters to consumer preference, with over 65% of soft drink sales in the UK coming from bottles with such closures.

As part of a family of brands, including GUNNA Drinks and The Sustainable Bottling Co., Water Almighty is playing a crucial role in reshaping the soft drinks industry. By offering sustainable, functional waters, the brand is helping to make eco-friendly drinks accessible and appealing to consumers and retailers across the board.
