'Win a Worldie' with new Cadbury FC promotion

Cadbury are launching a special on-pack promotion to engage football fans in stores across the UK this summer. 'Win a Worldie' will appear on packs across the Cadbury range – as well as selected Maynards Bassetts, Trebor and Cadbury Biscuits products too – from mid-August through to November this year. Prizes up for grabs include meet-and-greet experiences with some of football’s biggest names.

The top prize of the Cadbury FC promotion is the chance to hang out with some of the world's best footballers. Four lucky winners will have a tailored experience – such as a round of golf, a training session or a kick-around – with legends like Harry Kane, Neymar Jr, Steph Houghton or Virgil van Dijk. Fans can also win personalised video messages, signed shirts and even social media engagements from their favourite Worldie. There are also almost 2,000 Cadbury FC-branded high street and lifestyle £10 and £15 vouchers up for grabs. By building on Cadbury FC’s winning platform with extra and personalised prizes, Cadbury is helping retailers capture even more sales around key footballing moments throughout the 2022 season.


The Win a Worldie entry mechanic is simple: shoppers purchase any participating pack from Cadbury, Maynards Bassetts, Trebor and Cadbury Biscuits’ ranges* and visit worldie.cadburyfc.com (also accessible directly via a QR code on-packs) to enter the product’s batchcode and barcode for a chance to win. At entry point, consumers also have the chance to select their favourite football Worldie from the line-up.

“This is Cadbury FC’s most iconic promotion yet so we can’t wait to roll it out across stores.," said Cieran James, Brand Manager for Cadbury at Mondelēz International. "Win a Worldie gives your shoppers the chance to meet their football heroes – or even wow their friends with a personal comment from them on Instagram! This disruptive promotion will certainly help retailers to build excitement and tap into additional sales from football-loving shoppers this year.”

Cadbury’s Win a Worldie promotion kicks off in store and on-pack from mid-August and will be supported by a significant marketing spend including PoS material, out-of-home advertising and digital and social media support to support retailers’ sales.
