'Yorkshire Tea is UK's favorite'

'Yorkshire Tea is UK's favorite'

With over 100 million cups drunk each da, the UK is undoubtedly a nation of tea lovers, states a new research, revealing the brands of tea that are nation-favorite.

According to the new data from TonerGiant revealing what brand of tea is the nation’s favourite, Yorkshire Tea was found to be the UK’s most popular tea brand, with 27,100 monthly searches.

PG Tips came in second with 18,100 monthly searches and Pukka Tea in third with 14,800. Yorkshire Tea was the most popular option in almost the entire country. Belfast was the only UK city where Yorkshire Tea didn’t take the top spot – instead, Irish-owned Barry’s Tea is the city’s favourite.

Other brands to rank in the list are Pukka Tea, Teapigs, Twinings, Whittards Tea, Tetley, Clipper Tea, Lipton Tea, Thompsons Tea and Typhoo.

Commenting on the findings, Stuart Deavall from TonerGiant said, “With so many office workers opting for tea to get through the day, it’s no surprise that the UK has a day dedicated to the drink.

"In light of National Tea Day on Sunday 21st April, our new data shows that Yorkshire Tea is the nation’s favourite, with over 27,000 Brits searching every month, closely followed by PG Tips and Pukka Tea. We can expect many Brits to be celebrating in style this Sunday, no doubt with a mug of Yorkshire tea in hand!”.
